Biography
Isabel Van Dyke-Johnson is a Ph.D. student focusing on environmental sociology. She serves as the Global Conference Coordinator for the Center for Environmental Justice at CSU, in addition to her role as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for the School of Global Environmental Sustainability. Her research focuses on environmental justice & energy equity, community-based knowledge, just transition, environmental policy, and mycology. She has applied her education in positions with the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, the City of Fort Collins, the Environmental Defense Fund, and Colorado State University.
In her free time, Isabel spends most of her time outdoors, often with her husband and two dogs, Ivy and Juniper. She enjoys long walks, oaring our gorgeous Colorado rivers, caring for her pals at Rescued Friends Animal Sanctuary, and reading. She also loves to nerd out about mushrooms- ask her about mycorestoration!
