Challenge what you may believe about food pantries, horticulture, and food justice with these two tours and a workshop!

Guiding Questions: How can a food bank be a center for community empowerment? What kind of role can food banks have in transforming the food system?

This event will include a tour of the CSU food pantry to reframe food pantry use from a scarcity perspective to one of food rescue.  Mike Buttram and Hugo Pantigoso will be heading up tours of the pantry and the Horticulture Center where much of the produce for the pantry is grown. Curtis Kline will conduct an interactive workshop at the end of the tour at the pantry to illustrate the system of food justice.

Registration is limited to 28 people. RSVP required so the organizer can share group details with participants.
